Update 4/12/2016 - WE DID IT! Thank you so much to all our donors who made this possible. Pipe has been delivered and construction and installation began this week! This puts us one step closer to moving in to our new facility, tripling our capacity, and feeding more neighbors than ever before. We couldn't have done it without you!
We have some great news... we are just a few weeks away from the completion of our new home! Since being founded in 2000, Feed America First has always relied on borrowed and rented spaces, until now. Because of Robert Stroop's heartfelt compassion for his community, he has built us a new warehouse designed specifically to meet our needs... our new permanent home! However, it turns out we still need the water main to be installed before we can move into our completed facility. While it doesn't sound like much, it came with a $100,000 price tag!
That's where you come in. With your help, we will be able to move into our new facility, which will triple our capacity and allow us to feed at least 7,000 more families every month. Families such as grandparents raising grandkids, single moms struggling to get by, elderly on fixed incomes, and many more. You can be a part of reaching these families!
Hunger isn't going to wait for us to move into our new facility. We are ready to move in, increase our capacity, and feed more neighbors in need than ever before, but we can't do it without your help! Please make your gift today so we can move in as soon as possible!
*Included in the current amount raised is $37,000 which accounts for an in-kind donation from Robert Stroop for excavation and installation.
