Thanks to God’s abundance and all the support from caring donors like you, Feed America First has seen tremendous growth in the past year. As we prepare for 2017, Feed America First is facing new challenges, and we need your help.
We are currently distributing over a million pounds of food every single month! More than half of the food we distribute (over 650,000 pounds!) is dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and other wholesome, nutritious perishable food. However, we currently store these foods in refrigerated trailers that require costly fuel to maintain temperatures. They also require regular, expensive maintenance. Over half of our yearly equipment maintenance costs are tied up in these trailers. They have worked well for us in the past, but as we continue to grow, we are in need of better storage for all the nutritious, fresh food God has entrusted us with. We need permanent refrigeration and freezer space installed in our new warehouse, and we need your help to do so.
As we move into our new building this winter, installing permanent refrigeration is our last phase of construction. That comes at a cost of $350,000. However, we remain faithful that our supporters like you will help us get there! Every dollar counts. And every dollar will ultimately help us provide even more produce, dairy, meat, and other fresh, nutritious food to our neighbors in need.
We need your help to provide the best quality food to our struggling neighbors! It starts with a proper place in our new warehouse to store this food. The permanent refrigeration and freezer space will help Feed America First give the best care for our neighbors who can’t afford nutritious food due to their life struggles.
The best news? Our partners at Legacy Tree Foundation have agreed to match your gift! Your $100 will become $200. Your $500 will become $1,000! Up to the first $15,000! However, donations must be received by December 31st, so please make your gift today! The sooner we can install permanent refrigeration to our new warehouse, the sooner we can get even more fresh, nutritious foods to our neighbors in need!
